Thoughts are brain waves. Like all other waves, they are in constant motion. Motion consumes energy. We don’t even realise how much energy we lose on the merry go round of thoughts. And the most difficult ones are the negative thoughts that consume even more. The reason being we use a lot of energy in trying to suppress or ignore these thoughts. Acknowledging and dealing with them is the best way to reach Inner Peace.
